DAF strikers do volunteer work

Tuesday is the second day of the three-day strike at DAF Eindhoven. Some of the strikers are lending their helping hand by offering their services for voluntary jobs in city.

About twenty employees today report to the Atelier Eindhoven to give a helping hand to the organization ‘Ongehinderd’. They are making thresholds for the Dutch Design Week, to design a route which is easy accessible. And a so-called ‘ongehindernisbaan’ (without obstacle path), which the organization will use during the Accessibility Week.

Several organizations have made the voluntary work of the DAF-ers possible. DDW provides financial support, Bouwmaat supplies materials and Atelier Eindhoven gives space, tools and guidance needed.
