Van Abbemuseum participates in homage to Jeroen Bosch

The Van Abbemuseum is one of seven museums organising the so-called Bosch Grand Tour in honor of the Jeroen Bosch-year in 2016.

The tour is meant as a tribute to the painter from Den Bosch, who died exactly 500 years ago. The museums will thus increase awareness for the various museums in the province of Brabant.
Besides the Van Abbemuseum, De Pont (Tilburg), the MOTI Museum of the Image (Breda), the Textielmuseum (textile museum, Tilburg), Natuurmuseum Brabant (nature museum, Tilburg) and the Stedelijk Museum (city museum, Den Bosch) are participating.

The various museums have arranged an exhibition program in collaboration with the Jheronimus Bosch 500 foundation which is inspired by the work of the painter.

The entire program of the Bosch Tour will be presented during the Uitmarkt in Amsterdam on 29th and August 30th.

Bosch is still seen as one of the best painters of Dutch history. His works are displayed worldwide.
