Theatre NRE grounds closed due to cold

The little theatre at the Eindhoven NRE grounds has to close after well over a year, because it is too cold in the former gasworks. This means that theatre operator Frans Dillen’s dream is in tatters.

The problem is that Dillen cannot heat the building properly during the winter months, which makes for shivering guests who are thus not able to enjoy an ‘ultimate theatre experience’.

However, Dillen does not blame anyone. Both his landlord, ‘Stichting Ruimte’, and the owner, the Eindhoven municipality, have done their utmost to help him.

The theatre operator is looking for a new location, as the door of the present one will be closed permanently.
