Police looking for witnesses to armed robbery of canteen staff

Police are looking for any witnesses to an armed robbery of canteen staff at a football club in Veldhoven, which took place on Saturday night.

The robbery took place on the car park at the football pitches on the Heikantsebaan. Around 3 a.m., three women and a man were leaving the sports grounds, having worked in the canteen. At that moment, a man appeared from behind a car, and threatened the four people with a knife.

He forced them to hand over their bags, and ran off. No-one was injured during the robbery.

The attacker was between 1.65 and 1.70 metres tall and slightly built. He wore a black jacket with a hood, black trousers and black shoes.

Police are hoping to talk to anyone who may have seen the robbery, or noticed anything strange which could be relevant.
