Five Eindhoven students to participate in the Universiade, the Olympic Games for students in South Korea.
It involves four rowers, from student rowing association Theta and an archery star of Fontys Sports College.
The Eindhoven rowers, Marc Hummelink, Sander de Graaf, Dirk Adriaanse and Ellen de Boeren together with some fellow rowers of Vidar Tilburg, will form the Brabant team. Eight and Light women’s Double Two. All rowers meet the qualifying standard.
That also applies to Claire van Dijck of the Sports College (Sporthogeschool). It is not the first time that students in Eindhoven are participating. Two years ago, Marc Hummelink also participated.
In two weeks, the team leaves for South Korea. The Universiade is from 3 to 14 July 2015.
