PSV ends the season as national champion, winning from ADO Den Haag with a 2-3 win.
ADO takes the home side lead with Lakovenko at the start of the first half, followed by PSV’s Narsingh who managed a point before halftime. Bakker in favour of ADO scores the second goal after the break, but shortly after De Jong drew the score level. To finally break the tie, Wijnaldum scores its winning goal at the very last minutes of the game.
Led by Philip Cocu, the Eindhoven club broke its own record this season of 87 points, with a total score of 88 points.
Cocu praised his team in an interview after the game for the "team’s resilience".
The top scorer of the season’s league is as well from PSV. Memphis Depay, scoring 22 goals.
