The municipality allows the Genneper Hoeve to expand. The ecological town farm of Eindhoven may grow in acreage. Also the stables and livestock may be expanded.
The municipality will stop subsidizing the farm in Genneperparken next year. That money will be used for environmental educational projects for children.
To cope with the financial gap, the farm is in consultation with the municipality. Revenues can be increased with expansion and by allowing hospitality industry on the farm.
Every year many school classes and recreationists visit the Genneper Hoeve and enjoy the animals and greenery. Visitors are dissatisfied with stopping the subsidy. Over 7,500 signatures were collected at the end of last year.
