Education and industry cooperating on smart products

Educational institutions in Eindhoven and business are joining forces to work together on smart products. Among others, the TU/e, Fontys, Summa College, ASML, Fokker and VDL will participate.

There will be ten small labs, where technological knowledge will be translated into concrete and innovative products. This shall include robots, sensor technology and 3D printing.

Making parts for new ASML-chip machines with 3D printers for example. Also aircraft manufacturer Fokker is interested and looking into how robots could accelerate production in agriculture could be an option.

This afternoon, the educational institutions and companies will sign a covenant, in order to reinforce the cooperation.
