New Eindhoven cookbook against food waste

Eindhoven Fontys students are engaged in making a special cookbook. The book is completely created to combat food waste.

Many people think the pre-packed fresh produce packages in store are too large for single eaters. And so a lot of food is discarded, the students say.

The second-year students of the training Small Business and Retail Management want to do something about it. The book ensures that single-eaters can eat for two days in a row, with the same fresh ingredients. Varied dishes, with very little to throw away.

This week the pictures for the book will be made. Also all dishes are going to be prepared and photographed. And to set a good example, this food will not be thrown away. The meals are going to the Salvation Army (‘Leger des Heils’).

The book is just in Dutch though.
