It was a ‘decent’ win for PSV, says Cocu

PSV head coach, Phillip Cocu called the victory over the club FC Dordrecht ‘a decent win’. He says “there was more in the game and there could have been a higher score than a 3-0 win”.

Cocu: "It (the win) was not great, but definitely worth it, to win against Dordrecht." Cocu pushed the players to ‘go for it’ after half-time. The trainer says the players ‘were not as sharp’ in the first half of the game, but at the break he had given the team a boost. "It is surprising what you can do. It shows in the rest of the game." The team played a notch up in the second half. "We could have had better results. We continued to give all till the end," says Cocu.

It was the first match for Gérard de Nooijer as coach of FC Dordrecht. "If a match starts with a point by your opponent in the first four minutes, then you know it’s going to be a tough game. We had a few chances to score some goals, but we have played well considering the results could have been 5-0." Says de Nooijer.
