New pedestrian bridge Bonifacius Park erected

This morning, the new footbridge in the Bonifacius Park is erected. It is one of the last projects associated with the renovation of the park.

And it is a special bridge: it is completely made of synthetic material. This ensures that the bridge is durable and virtually no maintenance is required.

Bridges of synthetic material are relatively new, and the pedestrian bridge in the Bonifacius Park is one of the longest bridges of synthetic material made so far, without intermediate supports. To make the bridge information was also sought from the municipality of Rotterdam, who has more experience with bridges.
