Manifestation in City Hall because of ‘Paris’

This evening the municipality organizes a meeting in the ‘Stadhuis’ (town hall) following the attack in Paris on an office of the magazine Charlie Hebdo yesterday. As announced by the municipality.

The meeting is organized together with ‘Foundation 18 September’, which has taken the initiative. Initially there was a demonstration planned in front of the town hall at the ‘Stadhuisplein’. That the meeting has been moved inside, has to do with the weather forecast.

‘The act of terrorism in Paris is an attack on our freedom, interconnectedness and democracy ‘, states the municipality. Therefore, a public meeting will be held.

The City Council together with partners and citizens wants to show support to the victims of the attack and their relatives, and "express our sense of togetherness ‘.
