Residents around the Nieuw Erfseweg in Geldrop, last night had to experience inhaling a certain gas, or petrol air. The fire department was called to find out where the smell was coming from.
The gas appeared to be coming from the sewer. A second water-tank from the fire brigade came to water down the sewer. The sewerage of a total of a block of five streets were completely flushed down. The streets were closed beforehand.
The source of the petrol air from the sewer is yet unknown.
