Almost 100 new houses in ‘Grasrijk’

The new housing development area Grasrijk will almost certainly be extended with 98 homes. Possibly the consortium Zeshoven will start this year with the building of the new houses. The building site, between McDonalds and the Hovenring has been disputed.

According to the ‘Eindhovens Dagblad’ (Eindhoven daily), the developers are aiming on starters, with sales prices between 170,000 and 275,000 euro.

Initially the municipality targeted new offices but in view of the economic crisis this plan is abandoned. Therefore, the zoning plan is at the municipality for the moment, it still needs to be changed. If there are no problems Zeshoven hopes to start with the sale of the houses in two months. When the sales are accomplished they hope to begin building at the end of 2015.

About the plot on the other side of the Hovenring also more will be announced soon. It is the subject of an information evening on 14 January. A CPO project (self-building) of ‘WoonScala’ (housing development company) will be founded there.
