Measures taken against pollution caused by idling coaches

Measures are going to be taken against the pollution caused by idling coaches that are parked at the Stationsweg in Eindhoven. A sign will be placed at the parking space, indicating that drivers must turn off the engine when parked there.

This is the answer of the executive Board of the city of Eindhoven to the question they received from the GroenLinks party a few weeks ago. The party demanded the measure because local residents were complaining about noise and odour pollution.

The executive Board wants to maintain the parking space for coaches at the Stationsweg because travellers often arrive at or depart from the train station.
