Man arrested for attempted burglary on De Run

The police arrested a 42-year-old man without a fixed address for attempted burglary in the night from Saturday to Sunday. The suspect was sitting in a parked van near business premises in the Veldhoven industrial area De Run.

When patrolling officers in a police car approached the man, he drove away over a bus trap in the direction of Eindhoven. He was stopped on the Geer.

The man appeared to have no driver’s license and owed several overdue fines. Meanwhile some fellow officers checked the premises the man had been seen on. They discovered that several doors showed signs of a break-in.

The suspect was arrested and taken to the police station for further investigation.
