Busy opening weekend for Glow with 125,000 visitors

The first weekend, some 125,000 people came to visit Glow, Eindhoven’s light art festival. The organization speaks of a ‘busy’ first weekend.

Last year, 110,000 visitors came to the festival during the first weekend. A total of 520,000 people attended Glow then. This year, the organization is also expecting more than half a million visitors.

Mayor Van Gijzel opened the festival at the Augustijnenkerk on Saturday. The façade of the church is given a new dimension by the Czech art group The Macula, one of the public’s favourite’s.
