Kids participate in drawing festival ‘Big Draw’

Childrens’ book illustrator Bertil van der Putten painted the windows of bookshop Van Piere on the Nieuwe Emma Singel together with a group of children on Wednesday afternoon.

This is part of the drawing festival ‘Big Draw’ which started last Saturday in Eindhoven.

The drawing festival is held for the first time in Eindhoven this year. Big Draw is already a great success abroad and it is the same this year in the Netherlands. This creative festival is taking place not only in Eindhoven but also in Nijmegen and Leiden.

In the afternoon children came to bookshop Van Piere in Eindhoven. They have been painting on the windows together with the childrens’ book illustrator of ”Oodje”, Van der Putten.

In the whole city on several locations creative events have been organised Big Draw. Among others at the Van Abbemuseum, the Openbare Bibliotheek (public library) Eindhoven, the Parktheater, and the Ontdekfabriek.

Tomorrow night the festival will finish with a big party at youth center Dynamo.
