Design Academy Eindhoven graduates who have just recently graduated have already been spotted by industry, institutes and magazines.
Teresa van Dongen, Martina Lasinger, Nils Chudy and Julia Veldhuijzen van Zanten are in the race for different awards.
Nils Chudy has already won the national James Dyson award, and is now one of the designers with a chance to win the international award. An innovative consumer electronics brand like Dyson is a great endorsement for Chudy’s design for an electric kettle called Miito.
Teresa van Dongen and Martina Lasinger are both in the Fontanel Finals, supported by Adobe. This is a great acknowledgement for these young designers.
Julia Veldhuijzen van Zanten is one of the nominees for the New Material Award 2014. Van Zanten’s Protective Underwear project has gained interest from Het Nieuwe Instituut, Materiaalfonds (Material Awards fund) and Stichting DOEN (Do foundation) who are organizing the annual competition.
Other alumni from the Design Academy Eindhoven have been nominated: Atelier NL, Erik Klarenbeek and Borre Akkersdijk.
