Failure to Woensel streetlights almost fixed

The failure of the streetlights in the Woensel district to a large extent is resolved. This update comes from a spokeswoman for the energy company Endinet.

The problems started on Sunday after a small fire started at the sub-station in Woensel. Some of the streetlights were on all day while others did not come on at all leaving area residents to voice their complaints.

Endinet has now placed the streetlights on a timer which ensures that the lights turn on in the evening and off again in the morning. Two-thirds of the streetlights are now on this timer with the last part to be finished on Wednesday.

Endinet expects that as of Thursday all streetlights will be operating as normal.
