22 June: Architecture Day in Eindhoven about Philips

On Sunday 22 June, the national Architecture Day wil take place. The Eindhoven Architecture Centre will launch, together with many partners, The Philips Architecture Route. It is a guide containing descriptions of historical, as well as present-day use of various Philips buildings. In addition to the architecture of the various buildings, the guide will also contain descriptions of greenery, residential areas and art from and for Philips.

Various activities will take place on this day, such as bus tours, film presentations, architectural walks and a cycling tour. The Philips Architecture Route Guide will be free of charge.

The programme will be as follows:
Philips Museum – (Starting and ending point of architectural walk and cycling tour). Please be aware that visiting the museum involves a fee;
Natlab (continuous free film programme), playing the following documentaries: "The lamp", "The dancing dolls" and
"Working at Philips on Strijp-S";
Philips Trees safari by Wladimir Manshanden;
Garden Mania;
Strijp-R (organised walks including visits to new buildings and private housing);
Philips Fruit garden (walks through the orchard).
