Minister opens Dutch Technology Week

Minister for Economic Affairs, Henk Kamp, opened the third edition of the Dutch Technology Week (DTW) yesterday.

Central theme this week is ‘Week of Wonders’. Professionals, scholars, students and the general public are invited to explore the various aspects of technology this week.

Also, DTW’s goal is to show the strength and distinct characteristics of the high-tech industry in the Brainport Region Eindhoven.

Youth gets some special attention, because events are organized for technology students every day. Yesterday, for instance, a large number of Board members of renowned high-tech companies in the Brainport region took students along on their working day. Depending on the company, students got to visit the factory, the clean room, meet employees or attend meetings.

Last year, DTW received 220,000 visitors.
