Mayor Van Gijzel wants technology museum

Mayor Van Gijzel wants a national technology experience centre in Eindhoven, he said at the opening of Dutch Technology Week yesterday.

Van Gijzel says he is surprised such a museum does not exist in the Netherlands yet. Also, none of the 21 state museums is located in the southern part of the country. He would like to create a link here.

The mayor thinks a technology experience centre is necessary in order to show young people the possibilities of technology. He has already discussed the subject with the Minister for Education and Culture and wants to start putting more pressure on the government now.
