Eindhoven nominated for the National City Marketing Trophy

Eindhoven has been nominated for the fourth time in a row in the National City Marketing Trophy of cities with more than 100,000 inhabitants.

The National City Marketing Trophy (NCT) opponents include The Hague, Dordrecht and Amsterdam. Eindhoven365 and the municipality of Eindhoven launched the new look city marketing brand and a distinct municipal style to position Eindhoven as a hotspot for technology, design and knowledge.
High-profile events such as ‘The Wonder of Eindhoven’ (Het Wonder van Eindhoven) gave the city and the region a huge boost in the national media. Amsterdam should also not be underestimated because of the coronation of King Willem-Alexander and the opening of the ‘Rijksmuseum’ in 2013. Both The Hague (2011) and Dordrecht (2012) have won the trophy in the past.

City mayors, scientists and experts in the field of promoting city marketing in the Netherlands have signed for the title "Best City Marketing Region." The National City Marketing Trophy (NCT) will be awarded for the fifth time at an event in the host city The Hague, on Tuesday, June 10, 2014.

The preselection stage consists of detailed documentation: the presence of objectives, core values, policies, research and organization. In the final assessment, subject-specific elements such as media profiling, monitoring and demonstrable effects of city marketing will be considered. Cities are also asked to showcase developments specifically in the areas of innovation and contribution to the field.
