ASML celebrates 30th anniversary

Today, the manufacturer of advanced technology systems for the semiconductor industry, ASML, celebrates its 30 years of existence.

This morning, CEO Peter Wennink and CTO Martin van den Brink are launching the festivities for the coming year.

ASML was founded in 1984 as a joint venture between ASM International and Philips. Originally, the company was establised in a temporary building at the former Philips Natlab area, the current High Tech Campus.

ASML has been listed on the stock market since 1995. In 1998, they were the second largest chip machinery vendor globally.
