Van Gijzel supports Moroccans in charging Wilders

Mayor Rob van Gijzel has supported a group of Moroccans who wanted to press charges against Geert Wilders. The group decided to do so following the remarks of the PVV leader at the outcome of the elections. Wilders had the audience chant that there should be fewer Moroccans in the Netherlands.

Van Gijzel talked about Wilders’ action at the police station at the Michelangelolaan in the south part of Woensel. "Somewhere a line has to be drawn and this was the limit", he said.

However, the group eventually was not able to press charges, because they were told that, in order to do so, they had to make an appointment first.
