Tanker aircrafts at Eindhoven Airport

German, Italian and Dutch tanker aircrafts will start training at Eindhoven Airport today. Fighter planes taking part in the international exercise ‘Frisian Flag’ will be refuelled in the air by those tankers. The training lasts until 11 April.

During the training, more flights are scheduled between 08.00 and 16.30 Hrs on weekdays. Twice a day, the participating planes will take off from and land at Eindhoven Airport.

It is the first European Air-to-Air Refuelling training ever.
Training together with international partners is necessary because tanking often happens in international settings.

Two KDC-10 aircrafts from the Royal Netherlands Air Force are stationed at Eindhoven Airport.
