Shoplifter bites Eindhoven supermarket employee’s arm

Thursday afternoon a shoplifter bit the arm of an employee of a supermarket at the Eindhoven Boutenslaan.

Staff at the store saw a man put a can of beer in his pocket. When it became clear that he did not intend to pay for the article at the checkout, some employees confronted him.

They accompanied him to the manager’s office. There a struggle arose, in which the 47-year-old suspect bit the arm. Alarmed policemen then took the Eindhoven shoplifter to the police station.

Later the supermarket employee who had been bitten reported aggravated assault. His arm clearly showed an impression of the suspect’s teeth.
