Philips recalls ventilators

Philips recalls the Trilogy ventilator due to a defect. The electronics company announced this yesterday.

It involves 600 units that were shipped in the first month of this year. The ventilation devices must be replaced because of a defective component that can cause the device to work insufficiently. As a result, users may not get enough oxygen.

According to Philips, there have been no serious incidents due to the defect. The ventilators were sold in the United States, Hong Kong, India, France, Britain, Italy and the Netherlands.
