New action group against noise pollution night flights

Royal Marshals (Marechaussee) Airport arrest Greek suspect for drug smuggling

A new action group has been created to protest against plans to schedule extra night flights at Eindhoven Airport.

The airport is planning to schedule new flights until 23.00 Hrs. Moreover, airlines that are based in Eindhoven, such as Transavia and Ryanair, would be allowed to land until 01.00 Hrs. They would, however, have to pay a fine in that case.

The action group does not agree with the new flight time limitations because it is at the expense of those living near the airport. The increased noise pollution would be inacceptable, according to a spokesperson.

The group wants to bring the problem to the attention of politicians in Den Haag by submitting a petition.
