Swimming for Unicef with Ranomi

Olympic champion Ranomi Kromowidjojo will swim 18,000 metres at the Pieter van den Hoogenband’s swim stadium tomorrow, to support Hero for Zero, a Unicef initiative.

The 18,000 metres stand for the death of 18,000 children every day from causes that can be easily prevented, like polluted water.
Kromowidjojo will be accompanied tomorrow by a few hundred children who will swim along with her, in the fight against infant mortality.
