Region is restricting top incomes

The municipalities in the Eindhoven region have agreed to address to the top incomes in the public sector.

All institutions that receive funding have to cooperate. According to the aldermen of Finance, too high a reward comes at the expense of what could be done with the funding money.

In the future, administrators in the public and semi-public sector will not be allowed to earn more than 196,000 euros per year. The standard for hiring people externally will be set at 145 euros per hour. Among other, this concerns healthcare institutions and housing associations.

Eindhoven itself already set a limit for top incomes some time ago.
