No more traffic jams on motorway A2

The A2 has been widened between Eindhoven and Den Bosch. Yesterday, for the first time, no traffic jams were reported.

The last road works took place over the weekend. Rijkswaterstaat (Dutch Ministry of Infrastructure and the Environment) has been working on increase of the number of lanes since 2011. The motorway has three lanes in both directions now.

Yesterday was a Monday without any traffic jams, but Veerkeersinformatie Dienst (Traffic Information Service) does not want to comment on the positive effect yet. The new situation will be assessed in two months.
