Century party for Geldrop station

Geldrop Station celebrates its one-hundredth anniversary today and that is cause for a celebration. To celebrate, a tour has been organized along the historic buildings on the Station Street.

None other than former prime minister Dries van Agt will be present for the celebration. He used to live at number 46 when he was a child. Together with the present resident, they will be able to tell you stories about the house.
Aside from the tour, there is also a photo exhibition at the bookstore ‘Van Grinsven’ exhibiting old pictures of the station. There will also be two books presented, one is about the residents of the ‘Stationstraat’ Station Street and the other is about the development of the railway line between Eindhoven and Weert.
