Man headbutts a police officer in a police car

Resident of Eindhoven arrested for threatening with a knife

A 44-year-old man, who was arrested at Stratumseind last Wednesday, gave a police officer a headbutt when he was in cuffs in the back of a police car. He also kicked against a window of the car,[nbsp] causing it to warp.

Police took the man into custody, because he had stolen a wallet. Upon his arrest, he cursed at the policemen and threatened them with death several times.The police officer suffers from a visual impairment, because of the headbutt. According to a spokesperson from the Eindhoven police, it is not yet clear whether his condition is permanent.The man remains in custody[nbsp] and the police officers have filed charges against him, for assault. Police have also arrested a second man, for the theft of the wallet.
