A survey from the Veiligheidsmonitor (security monitor) is being held among residents of Geldrop-Mierlo, Nuenen and Son en Breugel. Residents can express how safe and secure they feel in their community.
It is a nationwide survey among more than 150 municipalities. Results should be published next year. Municipalities will use these results to establish new security policies, to determine police and fire department deployment and to adjust the current security policy. The more people participate in the survey, the better the towns can map their security situation.The survey is held by order of the Ministry of Security and Justice, the police and the municipalities.
