Protest against cancelling master at TU/e

Last Thursday, students from the University of Technology in Eindhoven protested against the university’s cancellation of the master program ‘Engineering’ at the Architecture, Building and Planning faculty.

The student association SUPport built a tower of beer crates on campus, to utter their disagreement. They also put the Vertigo building on campus up for sale on the Internet, ‘at any reasonable offer’, because when the master program is cancelled, the building will not be of use anymore, according to the protesting students. The University of Technology’s board is facing a shortage of professors to teach at the faculty. The courses that were given in the Engineering master program, will be transferred to various other master programs.
