Suspected copper thief burnt alive

 
A man was burnt alive at a timber yard on Mierloseweg in Helmond on Thursday evening. The police think the man was trying to steal copper.

Copper wire was found next to the body. An electrical short circuit is thought to have been the cause of the fire.
A witness heard a bang and then saw a jet of flame. He called the fire brigade. The rescue service crew found the victim already on fire. He died at the scene.
Forensics has already started investigating the scene.
