Tommy Kuijten from butcher’s shop Beerens at the Kruisstraat, together with fellow butcher Jeroen Kroon from Nieuwegein, became European champion last weekend.
The two took part in the International Young Butchers’ Competition in Frankfurt, a contest for young butchers.
The butchers were to display several skills, such as beef boning.
The Dutch butchers have been successful at European Championships for several years, since it is their third European title in a row.
