‘Dermatologists Catharina Hospital want 3 million euros’

The four dermatologists who were terminated by Catharina Hospital, are claiming a financial compensation of at least 3 million euros.

Medisch Contact Magazine says it has documents that prove this is the case. The four dermatologists were laid off last year. According to the hospital the dermatologists started their own practice and had patients pay in cash for care, that is normally covered by people’s health insurance. The four claim that this is not true and that they had permission from the hospital to have their own practice.Because of a six month notice the four dermatologists were still working at Catharina Hospital until 17 May. But even after a final meeting, no solution was found to solve the conflict. Therefore, the ‘Court for Healthcare’ has been asked to establish a reasonable amount for compensation.
