New war monument for Stadhuisplein

Work is in progress to install a new war monument on the Stadhuisplein. It will be erected around the existing monument to freedom.

It will show the names of the 1100 Eindhoven locals who died during the Second World War.  The monument will be unveiled officially on Remembrance Day, May 4th. There has been an exhibition on the Second World War in the Catharina church since the 16th of May. The names of the 1100 dead are also displayed there currently.
