After the great show last summer, KRS-ONE is again coming to the Effenaar on Sunday, 26 May 2013. The real name of KRS is actually Lawrence Krisna Parker and he was once a famous MC at Boogie Down Productions (BDP), one of the influential hardcore hip hop groups from the 80s. Since then, he is known for his furious political statements with a social undertone. The shows of KRS-ONE are packed full with hip hop classics. Songs like “MCs act like they don’t know”, “Black cop”, “Real hiphop”, “South Bronx”, “The MC”, “Outta here”, “Sound of da police”, “Step into my world” and “The bridge is over” promise to turn the Effenaar into a real hip hop mecca.
