Astronaut Andre Kuipers is to visit Eindhoven this weekend. On Sunday at the TU he will explain to children what technology means to him.
In this way the Sioux organisation hopes to make children enthousiastic about technology. In Andre Kuipers the TU believe they have found the ideal spokesman. According to Sioux it is important to stimulate children’s interest in technology, not least as there is a large deficit of technicians in the area. “We want to show children that daddys’ work isn’t boring. Technology is great fun”.Six to ten-year olds will be introduced into the world of robots. Three hundred children are expected. Applications to take part are now closed.
