Residents still against housing of migrant workers

Residents of Eindhoven’s Blaarthem district are still against the arrival of migrant workers into their neighbourhood, was concluded at Monday’s meeting. The city council wants to point out more areas in Eindhoven for the housing of a total of 200 migrant workers.

During an earlier meeting, the local residents already reacted fiercely against the housing of Eastern European migrant workers. The city council would like to offer these workers a room in the former ‘Grafish Lyceum’ (Graphic Design school) at the Karel de Grotelaan. This building became vacant after the school moved.
