Construction start of new Central Station Eindhoven on 13 March

The construction of the new Eindhoven Central Station will begin on March 13. Within the walls of this national monument there will be more space for guests and passers-by. There will be a new tunnel with lifts and other, new facilities.

Railway manager ProRail, awarded the project to contractor Heijmans in Rosmalen.The job should be completed in the summer of 2016. 115,000 travellers are expected to walk daily through the tunnel from  that time onwards.During the work the old station in Eindhoven will remain in use.Source: Omroep Brabant
