EINDHOVEN – Philips received the 500th order for an Ambient Experience hospital installation. Ambient Experience solutions feature the innovative use of dynamic light, video and sound to place patients in a calming, reassuring and relaxing environment before undergoing imaging and radiation therapy procedures.
The 500th room will be installed at the San Joaquin Community Hospital in Bakersfield, California. Philips sold its first Ambient Experience room in 2006.
