Nick Marshall’s death possibly foul play

AMSTERDAM –It is possible that Nick Marshall, a 23 year old student at Fontys, who was found dead on in the Bilderdijkgracht in Amsterdam on the 21st of September, was the victim of a crime.

The police in Amsterdam appeared in the program ‘Opsporing Gezocht’ and said that there were indications that Nick did not commit suicide.Nick Marshall, originally from the UK, had been living in a student flat on Geldropseweg in Eindhoven since August. He was due to start a technical course at Fontys college. He travelled to Amsterdam by train on Sunday the 16th of September. His body was found in the Bilderdijkgracht. The police assumed it was a case of suicide but when Nick’s parents went through his bank statements they saw multiple withdrawals from cashpoints after he supposedly drowned. The cash withdrawals continued up until Nick’s body was found. The cash withdrawals and the fact that Nick did not have to travel all the way to Amsterdam to commit suicide are reasons for the police to question the circumstances of his death. It is possible that he was a victim of a crime.Nick Marshall was buried on Friday the 2nd of November in Northampton, England.http://eindhoven.dichtbij.nl/112/nick-marshall-mogelijk-dood-door-misdrijf
