Tuesday, 4 September 2012
HELMOND – The Helmond Waloy van Gelderen was so harassed that he doesn’t dare leave his home on the Heistraat anymore. Ahmed Marcouch (lower house of Parliament) is once again asking questions to Minister Ivo Opstelten.

Waloy van Gelderen (48) from Helmond has given a face to violence against homosexuals. He says that he has been harassed, threatened, insulted and intimidated. Even his guests have become targets. The Heistraat is an infamous street in Helmond, which has been a source of disturbances in the past.Earlier there was news of homosexuals at the Club PallaZ on the Stratumsedijk in Eindhoven being harassed. In addition, the Eindhoven police do not register individual incidents involving homosexuals.Marcouch (member of the PvdA labor party in lower parliment), has once again asked questions regarding homosexual violence in Southeast-Brabant and stresses his idea once more for the yet to be formed national police force. They should have a special unit where homosexual men and woman can go to file a complaint.Waloy has filed a complaint with the police, but the man from Helmond believes that nothing yet has been done with it.Source: Eindhoven Dichtbij
