Local from Eindhoven arrested in connection with a murder in Nuenen

EINDHOVEN – The police arrested a 30-year-old man from Eindhoven on Monday afternoon. He is suspected of involvement in the murder of a man found dead last Sunday in the woods near the Vaarle car park next to the A270. Dangerous fireworks were confiscated from the suspect’s home by the EOD (Defence explosives unit).

The identity of the victim is now known. It is a 46 year old man from De Mortel. The man had been missing since Sunday morning. His family has been informed of the tragic news. Forensics investigation around the scene of the crime has been completed. Access to the car park and woods has been granted. The investigation team will continue with the case.
