Extensive construction on the A2 between Eindhoven and Den Bosch

EINDHOVEN – ‘Rijkswaterstaat’ (traffic authority) has planned for the coming year construction on the A2 highway between Eindhoven and Den Bosch. Between September and November the highway will be closed completely or partially closed, five times. The traffic will suffer immensely as a result.

The closings are related to the expansion of the highway from two to three lanes.Weekend closings:On Friday, September 21st at 21:00hrs through Monday September 24th at 06:00hrs the A2 will be closed between Ekkersweijer and the Vught exits in the direction of Den Bosch.On Friday, October 5th at 21:00hrs through Monday October 8th at 06:00hrs the road will be closed between the Vught and Boxtel exits in the direction of Eindhoven.Between Friday November 9th and Sunday November 11th the A2 will be closed at night between Boxtel-Noord and Best-West exits. The highway will also be closed in both directions. Night closings:Between Friday 7 September and Sunday 9 September there will be road works in the night between Veghel and interchange Vught. The highway will be closed in both directions.    Between Friday 19 October and Sunday 21 October there will be works in the night again between Veghel and Vught. During these two closures also a part of the A65 will be closed, between Vught-Centrum and interchange Vught.  Between Friday 9 November and Sunday 11 November the A2 will close in the night between Boxtel-Noord and Best-West. The highway will also be closed in both directions. Detours‘Rijkswaterstaat’ expects the construction to provide extreme inconveniences for the traffic.
